Ganderbal, Nov 04 (KNO): Over the past one month, the absence of several garbage collection vehicles in Kangan’s Ganderbal has stirred frustration among local residents and hotel owners.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), despite paying a monthly fee for waste collection from people, the non-arrival of these vehicles has led to a proliferation of waste on roadsides and unauthorised areas.
Residents and business owners from Prang, Kangan, Kijpora are distressed by the adverse environmental impacts resulting from the negligence, with streets and public spaces becoming inundated with discarded garbage.
Hotel proprietors said they are facing mounting issues in absence of garbage collection services. They urged authorities to ensure the garbage collection vehicles arrive regularly without causing inconvenience to them—(KNO)
